Library

The AISC libraries empower community members to confidently transform curiosity, creativity, and compassion into ideas or artifacts with personal, social, or global significance in an increasingly connected and multiliterate world.

AISC’s two libraries, one each for elementary/middle school students and for high school students, provide an environment where students can develop their information literacy skills, browse resources that will enrich classroom learning and encourage inquiry, as well as promote a love of reading.

Our library mission: The AISC libraries empower community members to confidently transform curiosity, creativity, and compassion into ideas or artifacts with personal, social, or global significance in an increasingly connected and multiliterate world.

Because the AISC libraries are the academic and social hubs of the school, we believe in increasing well-being by providing access, professional service, guidance, and collaborative spaces, as well as opportunities for lifelong learning to all members of our dynamic and diverse community. Because we believe that collaboration, representation, enjoyment, and inquiry are essential aspects of learning and discovery, our libraries feature over 55,000 books that represent various interests, genres, languages, formats, and topics. In addition, the libraries house several online databases to support classroom research and personal inquiries for all of our students in EY-12.

Library Stories

I like how the digital book system works, it makes it pretty easy to find books that I want. I also like the selection of books in the library and the idea of the shelf in front with the new books on display, because I often like to borrow some of the new coming ones. Mr. Karthik is always very helpful and kind, and so is Ms. Marion. She also has some excellent book recommendations.

Anya, Class of 2021

Our library is the second best place in the world! I love the books and there is lots of fun things to do!

Emily, Class of 2032

I love AISC library! I enjoy reading some of my favorite books and especially doing some fun centers like the craft corner and lego wall!

Harper, Class of 2032

I really like that there are many types of books that we like. For example, we can find humor novels, scary books, graphic novels, and picture books.

Isabella, Class of 2029

The library is one of my favorite places in the school (the other is the design studio!) because I love reading and seeing so many books in the library. It’s so awesome!

Josiah, Class of 2021

I think a strength of the CIC is the popularity among the students. Everyone knows about it and comes here everyday. It’s a good study place. It’s a good place to come and work on my assignments. In the afternoons I like to come here and work with my classmates. I feel like I get stuff done.

Minjun, Class of 2020

Our library is a good one because I can see all the books that I like to read. I can come here during my free time to read and chat with my friends.
