FOSTERING WELLBEING AT AISC
The Wellbeing Framework is adopted to intentionally promote and support wellbeing among our community members. Over the course of three sessions in December 2018 and January 2019, more than 300 parents, students, staff, teaching assistants, and faculty came together to explore how we could nurture wellbeing more consistently—individually and collectively—and help others do the same across our school.Did you know?
The Wellbeing Framework takes the form of kolam (a traditional South Indian design) and places the AISC logo and its ripples at the center, as we believe small acts that intentionally promote wellbeing will have a ripple effect across our community.

THEATRE AT AISC
We host the Middle School ISTA festival, "Southbound," on campus recently. The International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) brings together young people, artists, and teachers from different countries in different settings to experience and learn about theater, culture, and each other. Participants engaged in workshops on script writing, comedy, acroyoga, and improv—all through the lens of this year's theme, "Southbound" which explored how South India shapes cultures, lives, and identities.
As AISC began its Spring Break, the central and state governments here in Chennai and India announced staggered COVID-19 closures and a lockdown that would eventually extend beyond May 30. Pivoting seamlessly to virtual learning from March 23 onwards, AISC successfully completed 10 weeks of an unprecedented extended period of distance learning.
In an AISC first, and for so many worldwide, we celebrated the Class of 2020 in an intimate and moving virtual graduation ceremony.
