Elementary School at AISC

Elementary School at AISC is a diverse community of learners where over 300 students come together each day to learn in a nurturing environment. As you walk through the hallways and classrooms in the Elementary School, you will see engaged, inquisitive, and happy students.

The elementary years lay the foundation of a lifetime of learning. Our developmentally appropriate programs offer students the opportunity to learn and grow emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically. Every child learns in their own way and at their own pace, and we are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of our learners.

Literacy, mathematics, social studies, and science are taught by our homeroom and English as a Second Language co-teachers. Subject area specialists teach physical education, art, music, Indian Studies, library and, from grade 3, Spanish. Recognizing that many of our students come from a linguistic background other than English, we also offer English as an Additional Language. Our Learning Support teachers and/or our Counselors support students who have special cognitive and emotional needs.

The heart of all of our programs is our amazing teachers who inspire a love of learning in our students and empower them with the courage, confidence, creativity, and compassion to make their unique contributions to a diverse and dynamic world.

We look forward to partnering with you and welcome your involvement in our community.
