Who We Are

National Honor Society is built upon four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service. Our members have been accepted for their strengths in all four areas, and are committed to our communities: our school, our city, and our world. We demonstrate authentic and reciprocal service, collaborating with others, considering the ethics and sustainable choices of our decisions.

The AISC National Honor Society is 28 members strong, and our application process will begin in January 2020. We welcome all HS students to apply!

AISC Chapter Mission Statement:

  • Facilitate and encourage meaningful service by students at AISC

  • Utilise resources of NHS to benefit the entire AISC community

The purpose of the NHS is to:

  • Create enthusiasm for scholarship

  • Stimulate a desire to render service

  • Promote leadership

  • Develop character

One regular NHS activity is the Beach Cleanup, where we partner with Namma Beach Namma Chennai to raise awareness of the negative effects of beach pollution on the ocean. This is accomplished through teaching children in local schools to not litter and being role models for passers-by during the cleanup.

Meeting Times:

NHS meets on alternating Wednesdays in Ms. Shari’s room.
