AISC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mr. Sriram Sivaram
Sriram returned to Chennai in 2006 and is the President of Madras Engineering Industries Pvt. Ltd (MEI), a tier one auto component manufacturer. Prior to this, Sriram had worked with US based multinational companies in the power quality and energy sector where he has held various key management positions. Sriram holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and an MS and MBA from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Sriram has been an AISC parent and community member since 2006.
His wife, Priya, and he have two children, Vishnu (AISC Class of 2018) and Vinay (AISC Class of 2020).
Mr. Sridhar Venkatesh
Sridhar moved to India in 2007. He is currently VP Product at Avalara. Earlier, Sridhar was a co-founder at Indix, CEO of the CDOT Alcatel Research Center, co-founder at Caymas Systems. Sridhar earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT in Cambridge, MA.
His wife, Deepa, and he have three children Manav (AISC Class of 2019), Arjan (Grade 12) and Karan (Grade 10) at AISC.
Mr. Ravishankar Pillai
Ravi is the Senior Vice-President of Operations and a partner at ZoomRx, a market research consultancy focused on Life Sciences. He has served in this role since the inception of the firm - first from Boston and, since 2018, from Chennai. Earlier in his career, Ravi co-founded a Palo Alto-based computer network security firm, which eventually went through a successful acquisition. Originally a Chennaiite, Ravi has a bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Madras and an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
His wife, Lavanya, and he have a daughter, Shrinidhi (Grade 1) at AISC.
Mr. Ramon Menendez-Carreira
Originally from Miami, Ramon has been a member of the U.S. Foreign Service for 15 years completing tours of duty in Georgetown, Guyana; Athens, Greece; Washington, DC; Barcelona, Spain; Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo; and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In Chennai, he will assume the role of Management Officer (Administrative Director) at the U.S. Consulate General in August 2021.
Prior to joining the U.S. Department of State, Ramon worked for a German-based international bank, the American Red Cross, and a refugee resettlement agency. He holds a BA in Psychology from Florida International University and an MS in Education from Nova Southeastern University.
Ms. Judith Ravin
U.S. Consul General
Judith is the Consul General at U.S. Consulate General Chennai. She previously served as Public Affairs Counselor at U.S. Embassy Lima, International Relations Officer General in the Office of the Haiti Special Coordinator in Washington DC, and country Cultural Affairs Officer at U.S. Embassy Islamabad. Prior tours include Santo Domingo, Khartoum, Yaoundé, and Ciudad Juárez. She joined the Department of State in 2003, after many years working in Asia, Africa, and Latin America as an editor, translator, and journalist. She did her undergraduate work at universities in France, Spain, and the United States. She holds a master’s degree in Romance Languages and Literatures from Harvard University and a B.A. from Brandeis University. She speaks fluent Spanish and French.
Mr. Jongho Jung
Jongho arrived in Chennai in 2017. He is currently the Advisor of Business Support Group (General Affairs, Security, Health & Safety) at Hyundai Motor India. Jungho earned his bachelor’s degree in science in mechanical and bachelor of business administration degree from Ajou University, Suwon, South Korea.
Jongho and his wife Kyungim have one child, Jimin (Grade 2) at AISC.
Ms. Kami Viswanathan
Kami is Vice President-Marketing, Asia, Middle East and Africa at FedEx. Earlier, she was founder, work4.0 capital, a cross-border investment firm focused on the future of learning and work and co-founder and co-CEO of Lumina Datamatics, a leading provider of educational content and technology solutions to the US and European markets. Prior to co-founding Lumina, Kami headed Mergers & Acquisitions at OfficeTiger and worked with Arthur Andersen’s business advisory practice. Kami holds a BA, LLB (Hons.) degree from the National Law School of India, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
She has a son, Tejas in Grade 12 at AISC.
Ms. Louisa Rogers
Louisa arrived in Chennai from the United Kingdom in 2018. Prior to arriving in Chennai she was a Teacher of World Languages at iCademy in the Middle East. She has previously taught World Languages in the UK and the Middle East. During a previous posting in South Africa, she undertook voluntary work to support educational initiatives in a local township through the Bhambayi Project Trust. Louisa earned her bachelor's degree in French with German from Aston University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Newcastle University, both in the United Kingdom.
Louisa and her husband Martin have two children, Grace (Grade 10) and Joy (Grade 8) at AISC.
Mr. Michael Roberson
Michael relocated to India in May 2010 as the Vice President Sales and Marketing for AVT McCormick. He co-founded Provision Value Gard where he is currently the Managing Director. He also established Aspera Logistics, overseeing the business as the CEO. Michael earned his master’s degree from Trinity Western University in Administrative Leadership, in Vancouver, Canada.
His wife, Shabri, and he have three children, Rohan (Grade 12), Adesh (Grade 10), and Kairav (Grade 6) at AISC.
