ADMISSIONS OVERVIEW
Dear Prospective Parents and Students,
Welcome!
As billions around the world utilize technological platforms to flourish, here at AISC we are proud to be able to continue inspiring a love of learning in our students and fostering a sense of connectedness for our entire community. Since March 23rd and for the remainder of the 2019–2020 academic year, our best-in-class Continuity of Instruction Webpage is the hub for all of our virtual learning engagements and plans. In addition to video messages from our Leadership Team, it also contains many valuable resources for our students and parents. I invite you to check it out.
Looking ahead to the 2020–2021 academic year, we will be here, regardless of a virtual or in-person start to the school year. Our world-class faculty is the engine of success for our school and we are prepared to provide flexible, sustainable programs to support the continuous learning of our students. We are nimble and have every intention of providing virtual support for students whose arrival to Chennai might be delayed. We are also ready to welcome new families to our community, even if that means a virtual orientation.
AISC remains focused on its Mission, Core Values, and Vision for the AISC Learner—practicing being courageous and compassionate, appreciating our diversity, and staying resilient.
We continue to be part of a global effort to slow and stop the spread of the Coronavirus, practicing social distancing and isolation in order to flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases. We will get through this and we will grow through this together.
We are delighted at the prospect of your family joining our school community and we understand that this is an uncertain time for our families, the world, and for you. Please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to discuss how we can work to best support you and your family during your transition to India and Chennai!
Warm regards,
Dr. Deborah M. Allen
Director of Admissions and Parent/Alumni Relations
P.S. Staying at home can feel very isolating. Here are some tips that our School Counselors and Athletics Department have put together to support our families. I thought you might find them a useful resource. How can we feel happy, healthy, ready to do our best and help others do the same through virtual learning?
